I hope that the fact that all the reviews are from the release year of 2007 doesn't mean that this great recording has fallen into obscurity. This is wonderful music, and if you're concerned that it's all old-timey sounding acoustic blues poorly recorded--rest assured, it's not. Great electric blues with a taste of acoustic, some great arrangements and top quality recording. Get this

Y'all won't be disappointed, and make sure you pickup the DVD version of this release too. I was fortunate enough to have seen Kenny Wayne here in Austin, TX with Pinetop, Bryan Lee, & John Dee Holeman. These guys might of aged a little but they sure can still hammer out some great blues.
  • Fantastic

This could go down as one of Kenny Waynes most important works. Allowing us all a rare view into the roots of Blues and Rock music, and preserving a tasty slice of blues history for generations to come. Great music, great project, best blues compilation in decades!

Not only do you get to hear some excellent blues, but you also hear an important part of musical history. This is excellent work for ages to come. I felt like I had just walked into one of the old road house juke joints of the past, or Monday night Blues Jam at Lee's Lounge in Shreveport. Kenny- Thank you for sharing this with us.
